Wabaunsee County covers 800 square miles of beautiful Flint Hills landscape with a population of approximately 7,000 residents. Our office is responsible for law enforcement throughout the county, operating the county jail, serving civil process papers, and providing security for the District Court.

Sheriff Johnson has served in law enforcement for over 25 years, with the last 8 years as the elected Sheriff of Wabaunsee County.

Captain Sarah Martinez

Chief Deputy

Captain Martinez oversees daily operations and has been with the department for 15 years, specializing in criminal investigations and community policing.

Lieutenant Robert Wilson

Patrol Division

Lt. Wilson leads our patrol division, coordinating deputies across the county's 800 square miles to ensure rapid emergency response and crime prevention.
